Market Street Challenge

Well this challenge was interesting. I did not have any of the colors so I purchased three sheets of Bazzill paper just for this project and then colored the rockets with my newly purchased Prismacolor colored pencils. 50% off at Michael's. One of these days, I will be the proud owner of a set of Copic markers but until then my daughter told me that these color pencils will work and with a 120 colors to pick from, I am like a kid in a candy store. I used rose red from Stampin' up - it has a lavender hue which was perfect. I won the twine - yes a blog hop and the stars were from Michael's as well.  Stickles on the rockets. Oh and last but most importantly the stamp set is the one I won a while back from Market Street Stamps. If you zoom in on my cloud you will see that they are residuals from the powder- I left it like that to make it look more like a real cloud. The only thing that is missing is a couple of pics which my granddaughter told me should be a picture of her mom and her Auntie Vanessa.

This was suppose to be for the Market Street Challenge

I decided to do something different. I just felt like the colors did not pop in the way I wanted. So I guess, I will need to go shopping for the colors. This challenge required the use of the colors Sunshine Yellow,  Caribbean Blue and Plum and you had to use a Market Street Stamp which I was luck enough to win. I colored the rockets with Martha Steward Markers and my Sharpie fine point permanent markers. I used my newly purchased Stampin' Pad rose red on one rocket and studio G lavender pigment ink on the other one. I also used Yellow, orange and black Stickles. The Colors are a little off but the red is actually more plum. The background paper is from a Christmas pack. The sentiment was embossed with Martha Steward gold. I covered the faces of the other staff members and the students with PK - Wide Eyed Kids to protect their privacy. I also covered up their names and the name of the school with the ribbon. All of that was removed. This is just the latest and last page that will go into my Class Pictures Scrapbook. I will have to dedicate another scrapbook to my annual school pictures seeing that I still have at least 3 to 5 more years before I will be eligible to retire. Then I will be able to scrap to my hearts content.

PKS Sketch Challenge 48

Bonjour everyone - I hope you like my card.
My goal was to challenge myself and use colors I don't typically use.
Orange and yellow are two of my least favorite colors but I love the color combination here.
I also used a stamp set I purchased yesterday.  I used four stamps out of the set.
I often buy material and then it just sits there forever. I wonder how many of you out there can relate? The orange paper is from my stash. The Yellow based paper if from Debbie Mumm for Jo-Ann Travel paper pack. The Lace Tape, strip of brown ribbon and the large brad are all from Stampabilities.
The image was stamped on Professional Cartooning Paper from Big Art the super slick finish is designed to allow pens and markers to glide with a clean crisp result - it worked really well.
I used stampin' write from Stampin' Up! to color the image and their Chocolate Chip water-based dye ink and a punch to curve the corners.
