PK Challenge with Paper Piecing

 Good morning my crafty friends

OK - I have to say I love this wall hanging
I usually make cards - so needless to say I have a ton of them uncertain when and if I will ever use them.
So I have been on a mission to create projects that will actually be used.
So when I saw the latest PK Challenge - out of the corner of my eyes I saw my latest Market Street Purchased - MSS - 14 Enjoy Today.  EUREKA! I really strive to enjoy each day but ahhh life has a way of getting in my way sometimes. Those who know me well, know I love coffee, hot chocolate, or a hot cup of tea mostly when it is cold and dismal outside.
So that is where the inspiration for this project came from.
I had to play with the paper piecing. I cut out 3 or 4 cups. kept playing with it and then like magic it finally came together in a way that suited me. The plate has a beehive pattern to it - it is from  K& Company. Everything is better with a little honey in it. I colored the liquid with my Staples permanent marker in a soft brown - lots of cream for me. The rim and the coffee cup handle - scraps. I went along the edge of the plate with my Gelly Brown pen. Twine from the Twinery Ink - Stampin' Up & Memento. I painted a cardboard with Delta Ceramcoat Dark Brown The paper strips and the rectangle that I stamped the sentiment on were cut from one 8X8 piece of DCWV paper - the Natural Stack. The rest of the paper came from my scrap drawer. If you go to the end of this post you will see a picture of this project hanging in my Kitchen. Let me know what you think.
