PK Sketch Challenge 54

Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 54

Have you ever been working on something and it just is not working???
Ah - well this is one of those projects
I made this card as a result of the following blog

Royal Purple Freedom Blog Hop

For more info you can go to
http://faithfulecreations.com/
The blog discussed Domestic Violence and encouraged us to send cards.
Each card will be donated to the Bradley Angle House in hopes of inspiring women who have finally found the courage to leave.
When I saw this blog, I purchased four different sheets of purple paper.
I stamped the background with Market Street's Punch Tin in Vivid's Purple
I then cut 2 squares in 2 different shades of purple and rounded the corners
Then I stamped the bottom portion of the lighter shade with another MK Stamp
However it didn't come out right
Tried to fix it and just made it worse
So I just had to cut out another piece and stamped it
with Punch Tin
As for the ribbon - it is lying on top of another ribbon - AHHHHHH
I just kept playing with it and playing with it and then finally!!
- List of other items used on this card -
Butterfly - Recollections covering up a smudge
Flowers - Prima Flowers
The sticker is from BoBunny's Cardstock stickers set Free Spirit
I won it in a blog hop
Aqua ribbon - from stash
Brown ribbon - K*i memories
Card base - Paper Studio 5" x 7'" Kraft Card
& last but not least the rhinestones are from Michael's
Of the 3 cards I have made for the Bradley Angle House
so far this is my favorite.

PK Lets Face It Friday

This is for the Patriot Project
The faces were stamped with Boy Mates 1 1/8"
Ok I have to share a story. As I was stamping with this set several weeks ago
one of the stamps with this set flew off in the air. Yes, I have yet to find it.
Oh what is a girl to do? My question is can you buy one stamp from a set?
It is the one full mouth stamp
Yes! yet again I have used the PaperShape star
It is my current favorite - and I figured stars are perfect fot this card
White GellyRoll on the eyes
The background was stamped with Market Street's Grungy Border in
Rose Red - Stampin' Up
Then I went around the edges with Distress Ink -faded jean
I distress with Memento - Lady Bug on the edge of the card and the sentiment
which is a  new Purchased of 9 Dew Drop Memento Fade-Resistant Dye Ink
Ribbons - Bloom K*I Memories &
Kirkland Wire Edged Ribbon
The Sentiment from studio G
I made the sentiment and stars pop with Fiskars pop-up glue dots
White and Red stickles and Navy Blue from Sudio G
I love it - now who to send it to?
I am thinking my best friend might love it
and let her know that I am thinking of her.

MK Color Challenge

Ok so this if for the latest MK Color Challenge
A while back Peachy Keen had a organization challenge and
ever since, I have been covering boxes and organizing my material.
The box is from Tasty Bite - Madras Lentils
This box is holding all my glitter tubes and Stickles.
I cut the girl from Everyday Paper Dolls
I am so proud of myself I actually
used my Cricut.
Uncertain what size,  I cut about 5.
As it was, I trimmed the legs and the feet.
I was trying to get one that I could use with the Mk Bathing suit.
I used Smooch on the top of the bathing suit and
on the lime in the drink.
I colored with my Prismacolor pencils and
blended with Stampin' Up Blending pen
For more detail I used my Staples permanent markers
I used MK's Chillaxin and Tiki Time.
Face - Peachy Keen's Wide Eye Kids
The background paper is from a Nursery pack - unknown source
Pop Dots for dimension - my daughters insisted
Thank Raven and Nessa
The hat is from Special Moments
The sentiments were stamped with Vivid Purple Ink
Cheeks - Stampin' Up Chalk which I have not
used for quite a while.
Gelly Roll white pen on the eyes
As for the Flip Flop - AHH - let me know what you think.
Nessa helped me with them
The girls and I got together today just to scrap
LOVE when we do that!
