PK Challenge

This is for the latest Peachy Keen Challenge
I used the PK-281 Valentine Cupids which my eldest daughter purchased for me for Valentine Day 2011.
When I saw this challenge, I knew that I wanted to use my cute little mouse who makes me smile every time I look at this card.
I colored him with Martha Steward Color Pencils.
I used Stampin Up chocolate chip water based ink, Smooch Pearlized Top Coat on the wings and the bow, and their blender pens. Yes maybe in the near future I will invest in Copic markers. Now that would be a great giveaway.
The paper is from a company (QC - www.cri2k.com) purchased at Costco. The ribbon was also from a set that I purchased from Costco from Stampabilities.
The card is from recollections (5in X 6.5in)
I have to say this was the most involved card that I have yet to make. I really had to play with cutting the pieces so they would fit together. I am thinking, I need a new paper cutter.
I really think it is a beautiful card for a male. Cute but masculine at the same time.

X & O PK Challenge

Heart Faces - Peachy Keen Everyday Faces
All the  pieces were cut using the Cricut Sweetheart Cartridge
I used the stampin' pastels to add color to all the white pieces and the white card.
The valentine hair was created with an EK success punch and I used a metallic pen to draw in the curls The Ribbon is from Making Memories. My favorite detail is the small heart. I was playing with my PK stamps and I figured  it will either work or it won't and I ended up loving it.
This card was made in a relatively short period of time. I cut lots of valentine pieces in pink, red, and white so now I am ready to set up my assembly line and crank out tons of VT cards.

PK Challenge: monochromatic color scheme

Faced are of course from Peachy Keen: Lorie & Al Gingerbread Set - large face - I only have two sets at this time so this is the one I am using a lot these days. I used Memento tuxedo Black that Angelica mentioned in a posting.
Cricut Cartridge: From My Kitchen - it is the first time that I've used it.
Prima Flowers
As for paper - just stuff from my stash
I did the lettering free hand.  I hope you like it
